"Are you happy today?" Wilfred asked me.
"Yes, I am. And you?" I asked him back.
"Yeah, I had so much fun today. Thank God I came with you guys. I am in love with Vollendam".
"I told you. This is your first time to Vollendam, you've been there for the first time with me, I am pretty sure once you go there again, you must be remember me"
"Somehow, yeah, you're right. If I have new girl friend I will bring her come to Vollendam and say that this is my first time go to Vollendam with her".
I gave him a little punch and we laughed together.
Sunday night, in the middle of heavy wind of Amsterdam, i was walking from Maastraat to Amstel Station with him. We talked a lot. We talked how happy we were that day. Suddenly we forgot our problems. We had so much fun that day.
We went to an old village called Vollendam, the neighbourhood of Amsterdam. I went there with Nesya, Mel, and also Wilfred. We met up at Centraal Station at 12 o'clock.
FYI, Mel and also Wilfred never been to Vollendam before. They already lived in Netherlands more than 5 years, how come they never been there? LOL. So they were so excited to went to Vollendam.
I always love Vollendam. This is the third time i went there. I always feel peaceful when i was there. A lot of good views over there. I love the boardwalk, shops, the restaurants. And also fishing harbor filled with fishing boats, the houses with the moats in front, had swans and ducks floating idly by. So impressed me. So quiet place.
We also bought kibbeling for lunch. Sit in the seaside. Feed the birds and also the ducks. We also brought bread and fruits. Enjoy the sunny day in Vollendam, picnic. Really unforgettable moment.
After I was home then i got whatsapp Messages from Mel
"Thanks Aiu, I really had a great day and so did Nesya. I honestly hope you did too, Aiu. Let's have some more".
2 days after that Nesya also told me
"I was so happy that time. Thanks for the idea Ayu. I love having fun like that"
See, it's simple things. We only need bout 6 Euro for the Bus return, 4 Euro for kibbeling. We already had so much fun. This is what i called Something Simple Yet Beautiful
